The shape is the point

Every board here is cut in the shape of Lake Tahoe — our own drawing of the shoreline, not a survey map and not a rectangle with Tahoe engraved on it. That silhouette is why these read as art on a wall rather than as kitchenware.

Woods include black walnut, sapele, and Patagonian rosewood. Many boards have a hidden hook on the back, so the same piece serves a party and hangs the rest of the year.

Custom engraving

We laser-engrave names, dates, cabin names, and short messages. Engraved and custom boards take about one to two weeks in the shop before they ship, then 5–7 days standard shipping or 2–3 days express. If you have a hard date, tell us before you order and we'll confirm whether we can hit it.

Care

The serving surface is finished with food-safe oil and beeswax — no varnish. Not dishwasher safe. Hand wash, dry upright, and re-oil with our Good Wood Wax, a food-safe beeswax conditioner we blend here in Incline Village.

Questions

Is the shape an accurate map of the lake?

It's an artist's interpretation, not a survey. We drew the shoreline ourselves and cut to that drawing, so it reads as Lake Tahoe at a glance without pretending to be cartography.

Can I cut on a Lake Tahoe charcuterie board?

These are built to serve and to hang. If you want a board to chop on, look at the Lake Tahoe cutting boards — same shape, built for a knife.

Are they food safe?

Yes. Food-safe oil and beeswax on the serving surface, with nothing synthetic sealed over it.

How much do they cost?

Most boards run about $155 to $225 depending on wood and size. Patagonian rosewood and bloodwood sit at the top of that range; walnut and sapele at the lower end.

Where are they made?

Incline Village, Nevada, on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Every board is shaped, hand-sanded, and oiled in our shop.

Is this a good wedding or anniversary gift?

It's the most common thing we engrave. Two names and a date on a board shaped like the lake they got married at, and it lives on the wall between dinners. Order one to two weeks ahead of the date.
